Happy New Year!!

2014

I thought I’d start this Brand New Year off by actually posting something to my blog.

Please, control your shock and stem your disbelief! I am in fact a) still alive and b) still crafting. LOL! Continue reading

SWAT Drill #20 – A Sketch with Feathers!

Happy Saturday everyone! It’s time for another drill over at SWAT and today it’s one that’s bound to ruffle some feathers.

Okay, I couldn’t resist! We’re challenging you to use the sketch provided along with feathers! I purchased some Bella Blvd feathers a little while ago (tried out for their design team but didn’t make it so now I have a ton of Bella Blvd product in my stash) and knew this challenge was the perfect opportunity to use some of them up. Here’s a look at my layout.

SWAT Drill #19 – All Day Brekky

Oh my. What’s this? A post on my blog?!

Yeah I know. I’ve been MIA lately. I actually have a ton of projects to share with you! Somehow whenever I sit down to write a post … I get sucked into something else.

Did I share this photo with you?

SWAT Drill #18 – Best Friends

Happy Saturday everyone! We are currently away in Parkesville, BC enjoying the Tigh-na-Mara resort on the Union’s dime (Greg has a conference). The weather so far has been pretty foggy and cool and with Marley’s broken wrist there’s been no swimming in the pool but it’s nice to get away for a bit as a family. With my work schedules falling only at times when Greg’s available to be with the kids, we don’t get a ton of family time right now. 🙁

Anyway, even though I’m away from  my crafting room, I can still share with you what I created for this week’s drill over at SWAT. We have an awesome sketch for you to use along with the twist of adding wooden elements.

Here’s the sketch.

Pinspiration Friday

One of my favourite posts as a Designer for Practical Scrappers is when we are asked to create something inspired by a pin we saw on Pinterest. Today we’ve got some great Fall ideas for you from our boards.

I went about this a bit backwards this time. I knew what I wanted to make so went looking for how I should make it. Usually I just surf Pinterest til the inspiration light bulb goes off! I found a number of images and took inspiration from all of them. Instead of showing you my inspiration pin, I’ve got an inspirational collage for you today. Just click on the image to be taken to my Pinterest Board.

Monday Sketch at Let’s Get Sketchy

Well, the holiday weekend is officially over around here. The last guests have gone home and soon my kids will be going to be bed … hopefully a bit early as it’s been a busy weekend for all of us!

Now I can share a layout I created so that I could play along with Team B over at Let’s Get Sketchy

Well, that took longer than expected. I did indeed start this post late Monday night but … it’s now Thursday and I’m finally getting to it!

Monday was Team B’s turn to play with the weekly sketch but I decided to play along too. Here’s the sketch and my interpretation of it.
