Happy New Year!!
I thought I’d start this Brand New Year off by actually posting something to my blog.
Please, control your shock and stem your disbelief! I am in fact a) still alive and b) still crafting. LOL!
Since the fun and games of my big 40th birthday celebration in September, I’ve been very quiet. On line that is. My life IRL took a turn for the crazy! Kids activities ramped up, job responsibilities increased (along with the number of hours a week) and before I realized it, I couldn’t remember the last time we’d sat down to a family dinner. My husband and I were literally kissing each other in the driveway with a quick 30 second recap of what had happened, what he was expected to make the girls for dinner and other informational tidbits that seemed important! I was still crafting up a storm and getting my assignments in on time for the various Design Teams I was a part of but there were more and more last minute scrambles and the desire/time/mojo to create blog posts to go along with those projects just left me. Not sure where it went. Got caught up somewhere between the dance classes, soccer practices, hot lunch days, school drop offs and pick ups and the unfinished housework piles.
Silver lining here though is that I have a ton of content waiting to be shared with you!
During the month of December, when I realized that I was missing out on a whole lot of Seasonal fun because I have a retail job and therefore was working late evening hours and long shifts over the weekends, I made some tough decisions. I took a look at my DT commitments and knew I had to cut back. It was so hard to even contemplate leaving any of the wonderfully talented teams I was a part of. These ladies felt like family!! But my own family was suffering so … it had to be done. I am  no longer a part of the Let’s Get Sketchy team. Our last challenge of 2013 was a Christmas Bingo Card challenge. Here is my entry.

The photos were taken at one of the Christmas events I managed to squeak in with the girls last month – the Vancouver Christmas Market. It was cold and the kids crafts were fewer and more expensive this year so we didn’t stay very long but … it made me feel like I was actually participating in my own December!
I hope you’ll check out the entries on the blog and perhaps link up your own. I will deeply miss being a part of this team and wish to thank each and every one of them for their support and inspiration over this past year and a bit. 15 months to be exact! Such a talented team of women!!
