SWAT Drill #20 – A Sketch with Feathers!

Happy Saturday everyone! It’s time for another drill over at SWAT and today it’s one that’s bound to ruffle some feathers.

Okay, I couldn’t resist! We’re challenging you to use the sketch provided along with feathers! I purchased some Bella Blvd feathers a little while ago (tried out for their design team but didn’t make it so now I have a ton of Bella Blvd product in my stash) and knew this challenge was the perfect opportunity to use some of them up. Here’s a look at my layout.

And this is the sketch I used.

I rotated it 90 degrees clockwise though and used 2 4×6 photos in place of the strip of patterned paper.

Here are some close ups of my details.

Playing up on the bird/feather theme I thought this was a pretty creative title. I sometimes struggle with titles but this one practically wrote itself!

It also gave me the opportunity to finally use the owl and bird cage embellishments I’d purchased at Michael’s several months ago.

These journaling tags were in a set I recently purchased from Elle’s Studio. They worked perfectly to create a place to write. Normally I would just have written on the white card stock but I wasn’t planning ahead so much and put the card stock textured side up. It’s hard to write legibly on the textured card stock.

Okay, your turn! Show us what you can do with the sketch and some feathers and link it up on the SWAT blog by the end of the month to be eligible to win a Bo Bunny paper pack from Stacks of Scraps.
