Pinspiration Friday

One of my favourite posts as a Designer for Practical Scrappers is when we are asked to create something inspired by a pin we saw on Pinterest. Today we’ve got some great Fall ideas for you from our boards.

I went about this a bit backwards this time. I knew what I wanted to make so went looking for how I should make it. Usually I just surf Pinterest til the inspiration light bulb goes off! I found a number of images and took inspiration from all of them. Instead of showing you my inspiration pin, I’ve got an inspirational collage for you today. Just click on the image to be taken to my Pinterest Board.

And here’s what I made.

Halloween Banner

As soon as I hung it up my daughters wanted to decorate the rest of the house for Halloween. Hate to disappoint them but … maybe next week. 🙂

This is what the whole fireplace looks like, and here are some close ups of the details.

I used some of Amanda Robinson’s awesome cut files to embellish the banner. The pumpkin and the ‘Spooky’ tag are hers. In fact, the tags are FREE! You can access them here. The pumpkin comes in a set along with lots of other images and they are only $2.99! Buy them here.

One thing I love to do with my Cameo cut files is to manipulate them. This 31 started as a number 13. 🙂

Do you remember the layout I made with the giant spider web in the background? Well, I played with that cut file too until it looked like this little spider web. Delicate but so awesome!

I also went digging in my Halloween embellishment stash and found these chipboard buttons from Jenni Bowlin as well as the layered stickers.

I had a lot of fun making this banner. Hope you enjoyed it too. Thanks for stopping by – have a great weekend!
