I took some time to play along with one of Shimelle Lain’s Sketch to Scrapbook Page challenges. I love her sketches and this one with the sunburst was perfect to tell a story about my little ray of sunshine, Christine.
Here’s the Sketch.
Okay, I admit. When I first read Lanette’s instructions to us I thought “Oh crap, I don’t own anything neon! There goes my no-buying plan right out of the window!”
Let’s be honest, June was sort of the high water mark for that plan. One tax refund and suddenly I find myself the owner of many sheets of new paper. And not just from the deeply discounted section at Two Peas in a Bucket or my local LSS either! Brand new lines!

First of all, HAPPY CANADA DAY all!!
I wish I knew a way to add little maple leaf icons. Oh well.
On to the business that brought you here today.
It’s Monday which means there’s a new sketch up at Let’s Get Sketchy and Team A (that’s MY team :)) has provided you with some inspiration.
Here’s the sketch.

Today S.W.A.T is welcoming our new Design Team with a Blog Hop & Challenge!
Can you believe it is the end of the school year already?! I swear that each year goes by faster and faster.
Last night I realized that while I had remembered to buy gifts for my girls’ teachers, I still needed to wrap them and make their cards.
Whoops!
Yes, I am that last minute Mom!! 🙂
So here’s what I pulled out of my … crafty little self last night.
I’m doing a feature on the Practical Scrappers blog tomorrow and I thought I’d give you a sneak peek.
It’s all about something near and dear to my heart – using your stash and your scraps!!
See how I made these and what I turn them into tomorrow.
See you then!
