Honestly, with the rain the last couple of days it was feeling a bit wintry around here but this is a different kind of Christmas in July. This is the SALE type of Christmas in July!!

When I was growing up in England I had a teeny tiny bedroom that I shared with my brother until I was about 6. It had a set of bunk beds – old school ones with the metal bed springs I used to push on at night to bug my brother – and a giant wardrobe. I used to love to hang blankets all around my bed and pretend I was in a cave or a castle or just about anywhere my imagination could take me.
I don’t remember taking down all my blankets into the living room to create a room sized fort. That sort of thing just wasn’t done.
Full disclosure, I am not an affiliate of Gossamer Blue I am just a BIG FAN of their kits!!

The wonderful Amanda Robinson is no longer selling her cut files and has shut her cut shop down, so … I have removed all of those broken links from this post. If you are enrolled in the ScrapHappy Summer Lovin’ Mini LOAD going on this week and are having trouble downloading or using the cut files Alice sent in the email today, please contact me! Either PM me on Facebook, through the Flickr Gallery, or use the contact me button to your right (scroll down to the ‘let’s get social’ tab).
I can’t wait to see what you make with these cut files!**

Amanda has been busy this summer moving houses and studying Graphic Design so we all chipped in to help. Today’s feature is a cut file from yours truly paired with a printable sheet from Amy Kingsford.
We didn’t have to create with our own files but since I had specific photos in mind while creating it, I thought I might as well! Get those memories scrapped, right?
Here’s what I made.
My husband and I had one of those conversations last night that all couples should have but I’m not convinced ARE having. The “what happens to our children in the event of our deaths” conversation. No, we have no plans to leave this Earthly plane anytime soon! But given my own personal history, this is something important to me. Continue reading
Did you see my post on Thursday? I shared a video in which I confessed that I am … wait for it … not perfect! Gasp! That I struggle to put together my layouts sometimes. That, sometimes, working with a restricted kit can be, well, restricting!
But I also shared one solution that anyone can try. It takes some bravery on your part to cut into your 12×12 papers but the end results inevitably end up being something that will jump start your creative juices. Continue reading
