LOAD513 Day 1

It’s he-e-ere!! LOAD513 Get a Clue. Are you LOADing this month? I think there may be a few spots left if you want to join in the fun. We are working our way through the mysteries of the game Clue and creating a layout a day following prompts that relate to it. Does that not sound like fun?! I mean really, who doesn’t love a good mystery game?!

Today we were introduced to Mrs White and were to take that any way we wanted. I chose to embrace white space. White space is any place on a layout that is left unembellished. Places you can see the back ground whether that be solid coloured card stock or patterned paper. Just because it’s called WHITE space doesn’t mean it has to be white or even non-patterned. Confused? Here’s my layout to help you out.

New Let’s Get Sketchy Layout and a Video!

I am trying something a wee bit different this week. A Video! I’ve been wanting to make a Start to Finish video for awhile and decided to just bite the bullet and go for it. The sketch over at Let’s Get Sketchy was ideal as it was fairly straight forward and right up my alley with all the paper pieces and layering. Here’s the sketch and my take on it.

What’s a Scrapinar, you ask? Well it’s a webinar about scrapbooking of course! Lain Ehmann of Layout A Day fame hosts them monthly and they are 100% FREE and 2000% awesome! Informative, fun, casual … what’s not to love? You sign into the webroom, using the link that Lain will email you, at the assigned time and then chat with the other participants, watch the featured guest’s tutorial video, ask questions of the guest, learn something new and perhaps even win a prize. Lain’s always got some goodies up her sleeves!

April’s FREE Webinar is featuring Paper Crafts Magazine’s Go To Gal Windy Robinson. She will be showing us how to create gorgeous hand-crafted and hand-embellished envelopes and mail art that will make even the postman smile!
