Colouring Within The Lines

Make it Monday - pinkWelcome to another Make It Monday!

You may be arriving from Beth’s site where she is showing you how to share your stories of Magic with your photos.

Today I want to share a slight twist on something I do quite a bit.

Batch scrapbooking! Or in this case, card making.

Recently I was catching up on some webinars when a stack of already stamped and die cut card sentiments caught my eye. I knew that I just needed to add colour to them and they’d be ready to add to a card. So … I got down my tin of Stampin Write markers and got busy!

There were four different stamped images I was working with. I’ll show you one card from each – to see the other variations I made please click on the image to be taken to my Etsy Shop listing for that card.

This is the simplest card I think I’ve made in a long time. And I love it! Definitely going to make more like this. The jute twine was just sitting on my desk and I felt the card needed a little something extra to finish it so … voila!

When I was colouring the images I wasn’t thinking of what papers I had to go with it. I was just trying to make them all a bit different. And having fun!

After I had all the images coloured, I started to pull papers with which to build the cards themselves. In my recent Scrap Room Tour I showed you how I keep all my 6×6 paper pads on my desk right by my computer. That made it super easy to keep watching my webinar while I played with paper!

I have a surprising lack of purple in my 6×6 collection! Actually, in my entire paper collection!  I just don’t use it on my projects all that much. Pairing the purple with a bit of denim and some green seemed to do the trick though. Note to self: buy purple!

Okay, I may have gone a bit overboard with all the layers on this one but I just couldn’t help myself. That pink gingham is just too cute for words!

That’s all for today. Please check out my shop and tell me what you think in the comments.

Now you’re off to Connie’s site where she is adding uplifting spunk! Some days kids need little love notes!

Have a great week everyone!

Cute cards! I’ve been feeling the urge to do some colouring lately, too. Just bought a couple purple copics, as a matter of fact! Maybe I need to just get at it!!! Thanks for the motivation!

Go for it! I know the colouring books for adults are all the rage now, but this is about as much as I can manage!
