SWAT Drill #8 – Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone. Happy Saturday! Hope you’re all having a great day.

Today over at SWAT we are sharing a sketch challenge by our very Becci.

SWAT Drill #8 sketch

Here’s my interpretation.

If any of you saw my video over at Practical Scrappers, this layout may look familiar. Yes, it was made to use up some of those Bella Blvd stickers! There are 6 stickers on this page.

I flipped the sketch a bit, used larger photos and moved the title but I swear the sketch was my starting off point! That’s one of my favourite things about using sketches. You can take them in so many ways!

Here are some shots of the details. I used the large ‘fun in the sun’ sticker as my title. I loved it and didn’t want it to compete with anything so … ready made title. Gotta love it!

My journaling may be hard to read on screen but in real life it’s perfectly legible. You don’t always need a “clear” spot to write your thoughts. Embrace the white spaces of your layouts – no matter how busy you may think they look. Your journaling will only add to the design esthetics and those that want to linger and read every word will be able to without any trouble.

Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy your weekend. It’s a long weekend here in Canada and while the weather is far too wet and cold to get out to the water parks, I hope you are able to enjoy some time outside this weekend. Who knows? Maybe the sun will shine for us too!

If you liked this post, say thanks by sharing it with your friends.

Hey Alison! I’m so glad to see you are still crafting!!! I hadn’t been to your blog in forever because it wasn’t showing up as updated in my sidebar, but when I click on it tonight I realized it is because the location changed. I love this page!!!! I’ve rebookmarked you so I can come back for more inspiration:)
    Love Ange
