Have you heard of the Scrap Stash Kit Club? Margareta Carlsson has a fantastic site all about putting together kits from your stash using her inspiration as a starting point. Each month has a theme and she creates a mood board over on Pinterest to help you in creating your kit. She recently added a Facebook group into the mix too.
I’ve been happily watching the activity and inspiration from the sidelines but decided to jump in this month and create my own kit. It’s not like I don’t have enough stash for a year’s worth of kits or anything!! LOL!
Here it is, my Surf’s Up kit. Inspired by water and sunshine and ready for all those bright, cheerful summer photos.
My papers – all different manufacturers in shades from navy to sky blue, mustard to sunshine yellow with a few mulit-coloured sheets thrown into the mix too.
I added these two sheets of cut apart journaling cards since the colours and/or sentiments were a good match.
My alphabet options. There are more packs in my container but they’re mostly half used so I didn’t include them in the photo.
I love to add labels and word stickers to my layouts so I grabbed these from my stash.
And finally the fun bits – enamel dots, brads, sequins washi and flair!
I think I should have enough to make quite a few layouts. Actually, I have an idea of what I’m going to make but don’t want to share it yet as it’s a secret for my daughters. Shhh!!
I’m not about to give up my Gossamer Blue kits or anything yet but this was fun. Want to give it a try? Join the Facebook Group and see what it’s all about.
Thank you for playing along with the scrap stash kit! Doesn’t it feel great to shop your stash and use it? 🙂 (Not that there’s anything wrong with shopping. LOL!)
LOL! I think I am a shopping pro by now Margareta! With your help I can be a stash busting pro too!! 🙂
