July has 5 Monday’s so the Design Team at Let’s Get Sketchy is throwing down a Free For all challenge. Anything goes!!
Here’s what I created.
We went to Playland on Friday and I took 774 pictures of the action. 774!! After some serious editing I’ve got it down to 149. Still a lot and I won’t be scrapping them all, but a more manageable number, wouldn’t you say?
For today’s layout I printed off these two that show my youngest having fun on the rides. My journaling talks about how how she insisted on going on the rides on her own and my feelings on her independent spirit.
As my title I used a layered border piece from Heidi Swapp, that I found on clearance at Michael’s yesterday (I HAD to go in there to buy a GC for a birthday party gift … so you know, stuff happened.) 🙂
The border piece was actually a full 12″ but all I wanted was this one little bit so I carefully separated it from the rest. To finish the title I just added a few extra letter stickers.
Here’s a closer look at my journaling.
Hope you enjoyed this short but sweet post today. I look forward to seeing your Free For All projects linked up at Let’s Get Sketchy!
Great layout and amazing journaling!
Thanks Laura!
I love the papers you used. Your daughter really looks like she is having a great time!
Thanks Chelsea. I may have broken my spending freeze (again!) to buy a pack of Maggie Holmes papers. But I’m not saying for sure!! 😉
LOVE this page, Alison! I like how you used the doily and then used patterned paper as your journaling block. It just adds to the fun of the layout. Great job!
Thanks Kelli! I wasn’t sure it would work to journal all over those cameras but once I started writing, it was all good!
This is so cute! Your photos are fabulous! I love your product choices!
Thanks Debbie! Love the Maggie Holmes line!
Your layout is so beautiful and your photos soooo cute! I love the look on her face! Great product choice too!
Thanks Melissa. Yeah, she’s a cutie. 🙂
Great layout! I love how you managed to use a lot of embellies and they only enhance the layout vs. looking too busy. The pictures are absolutely adorable too!
Thanks for saying that Tiiu. Sometimes I look at my layouts and think that instead of a “sticker sneeze” I’ve got an “embellishment sneeze”. This one came together nicely though.
Super cute pics and layout! Love every detail on this page..:)
Wow, thanks Nicolle! I really appreciate it!
