Happy Saturday everyone!
I have the day off and after swimming lessons and some house chores, I hope to get back into my scrap room. What about you? What are you up to today?
To get your creative juices flowing today I am please to share my latest layout for SWAT – Scrapbook Warriors Advanced Training. We’ve got a fabulous sketch from our very own Bev Code with the twist of having to use twine on the layout somewhere. Here’s the sketch and my layout.
The products you see are all from the kit except for the stamps which are from Shimelle Lain’s stamp set at Two Peas in a Bucket. Here’s a video I filmed of my process.
How was that? Was it fun to see my process come together? I’m always slightly amazed at how ideas I originally had just don’t make it to the final layout. As you can see from the photo above, I added more journaling after the camera was turned off and a few arrow stickers to fill in some trapped white space.
Here are some close ups of the details.
The first part of my journaling fit nicely on this card.
The journaling I added after I stopped filming explains why the ride was so awful for me.
There’s a close up of that sticker embellishment I altered.
My title plus a closer look at the subtle stamping I added.
The stitched and sketched detail at the top. I really like the texture it adds to the page.
That string was just not staying stuck so I added a few staples.
Now it’s your turn! Create a layout using Bev’s sketch and some twine (don’t forget your twine!) and then upload it to the SWAT site. The prize for this drill is a $10 gift certificate to 3 Scrappy Boys. Can’t wait to see what you create! Have an awesome weekend everyone.
Awesome layout. I love the video.
Thank you Lisa!
What a pretty page! LOVE all the pastels and your inked banners, and your stitched arrows are delish! LOVE!
Thanks Jinny, appreciate you stopping by.
