Let’s Get Sketchy Mondays – Tequila Faces

First of all, HAPPY CANADA DAY all!!

I wish I knew a way to add little maple leaf icons. Oh well.

On to the business that brought you here today.

It’s Monday which means there’s a new sketch up at Let’s Get Sketchy and Team A (that’s MY team :)) has provided you with some inspiration.

Here’s the sketch.

LGS July TeamA Week1

And here’s what I came up with.

These pictures were taken at during my recent Girls Weekend and even though the quality of them is poor, the story just had to be told. I mean really, look at our faces!!

Here are some shots of the details.

I love this chalkboard paper in the Simple Stories I Heart Summer collection and felt it was the perfect spot for my journaling. I don’t use my white pen very often but it’s just perfect on darker papers like this.

My title. ‘Nuff said!

I also used a cut apart journaling card that had a sentiment that worked and then I cut around it so it could act like a paperclip. That particular corner of the photo just had a blurry shot of the side of one of my friend’s heads.

This corner of my photo collage needed a little something. This little flag sticker and brad from the same Simple Stories collection provided that.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a wonderful Canada Day! We are planning to pick some strawberries at a local farm and maybe take in some of the festivities going on all around us. What are you getting up to today?

  2. Great page! That’s what scrapbooking is all about, right? Telling stories! It must have been a really great time!
