Welcome to Make It Monday for February 8, 2016.
You may be arriving here from Carole’s site where she is using Paint Shop Pro to create gold elements. I think metallic colours must be the hardest for our digital brothers and sisters to create!
Today I am embracing all things RED in preparation for Valentine’s Day. I’ve already shared some of the cards that are available to buy in my shop, and some of the cute gifts that my daughter’s will be receiving this year, but now I want to share the card that I made for my husband.
I’ve been enjoying using up my scraps and my stash of Gossamer Blue papers during this month’s LOAD. Due to budgetary considerations I had to stop my subscription so the influx of new papers has ceased – insert extremely sad face here! But sometimes magic happens when you dig really deep into papers you haven’t looked at in over a year. In my video today I show you what I found and how I turned it into a card.
I don’t know about you, but I have a really tough time creating masculine looking cards. Valentine’s Day should be all red, and hearts, and frou-frou-lovey-dovey, right? Not gears, and trucks, and sports equipment! So … meh. He’ll get this one and love me all the more for it!
Well, that’s all I have for you today.
Now you’re off to Alice’s site where she is working with blue for a Valentine’s Day layout. Oh, and she has assured me she will remember to schedule her post to go live this week! Sorry if you tried to get to her post last week and kept getting a 404 error. It’s up now and full of her sassy self giving great tips on how to get the most out of your patterned paper!
Have a great week everyone! If you can’t wait until Saturday to see my latest LOAD layouts, then check out my Flickr Gallery. I upload all my layouts there first.
