Just a quick post today to share a special card I made recently for a little girl named Lucy.
I’ve been making cards for years and recently started selling them. First on Etsy (visit my Etsy shop here) and more recently on the community app Varagesale – which is where Lucy’s family found me. The request was for pink, black and white; a little dress if I had one, some ribbon and bling.
I managed to find this stamp with a little girl holding a heart. It said ‘from the heart’ so I added the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment below. Here’s a fun tip to try: if you are using clear polymer stamps like I was, try curving the stamp on your acrylic block before inking it. That was how I managed to make it mimic the sentiment above the little girl. Genius!
The little bow came in my most recent Planner Society Kit from Scarlet Lime. I have not been using the dimensional embellishments in my planner as I do not like the bulk, but they are fantastic for cards and layouts!
To add a bit of bling to the card I pressed some extra fine glitter to the heart when it was still wet (I coloured that in by hand) and then put a coat of Glossy Accents over top once it had dried.
This was a lot of fun to make. I love having that extra challenge/restriction of working within certain parameters!
My cards are only $3 (for a standard 4.25″ x 5.5″ card) and if you are local I will hand deliver them. My Etsy Store accepts National and International orders – the shipping is listed clearly.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!
