That’s a Wrap!

Well folks, it’s February 28th. The last day of February and the last day of LOAD218.

What a blast!!

Whether you participated or not, did 28 layouts this month or 1, I hope you enjoyed the process. And I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my layouts come together.

I’ve been working on an album about our trip to the Warner Brothers studio lot outside London for their The Making of Harry Potter experience. It was a jam packed 4 hours on site with hundreds of photos taken, and so many more memories made. When I started the month I had made 4 layouts for album. Now I have two fairly full albums as I added 29 layouts because of LOAD.

As resident scrapbooker and memory keeper, this makes my heart so happy!

So let’s recap the last 6 days, shall we? Starting with …

Day 23 – Hagrid!

LOAD218-23 Hagrid! by Alison Day

I hope I did Shimelle proud with this one. Mostly her products and trying to put everything I’ve learned, after years of watching her and taking her classes, to use.

Day 24 – Got Your Passport?

LOAD218-24 Got Your Psssport? by Alison Day

These passports were giving me some trouble with regards to including them in the album. I’m glad I found a way that was fun and creative!

Day 25 – Cloak of Invisibility

Think I was still channeling Shimelle with my “more is more” approach to this layout.

Day 26 – Seen in Book 4

LOAD218-26 Seen In Book 4 by Alison Day

So glad I could get this bad photo of the Triwizard Cup onto a layout and feel good about it!

Day 27 – Feeling all the Feels

LOAD218-27 Feeling All the Feels by Alison Day

I am going to have to remember this layout the next time I have a lot of die cuts that don’t seem to fit my story or my style. Just pile them all on and somehow they work! #moreismore

Day 28 – Hello Platform 9 3/4

LOAD218-28 Hello Platform 9 3/4 by Alison Day

So much fun to make! Knowing this is a title page of sorts allowed me to embellish away without worries of hiding journaling or photos. I know there are plenty more to come and the journaling is there to set the stage, not tell the whole story. And I love it! There is enough to look at with all the different papers and “bits” that you barely notice to restricted colour palette.

Okay guys, that’s a wrap for LOAD218 but not for me. I will continue to bring you process videos – they just might not be daily! I’m turning my attention to Shimelle’s latest class called Clear the Desk  and will be posting my creations for that onto YouTube and here. Be sure to subscribe to my channel to get those notifications.

Cheers!
