Happy Saturday everyone!
Have you seen the August 2018 card kit from Simon Says Stamp yet? I shared the unboxing of my kit on my YouTube channel recently, but if you missed it, here it is.
I got to work right away playing with it – as well as the new ink pads I picked up from Paper Issues. Take a look.
Here are the cards I’ve made so far, starting with the one I show in the video.
I’ve got to play some more with that fence stamp, it is so cute!
And here is a close up shot of the card you watched come together in the video.
So … two things … I’m wishing I hadn’t put the pink Nuvo Crystal drops on the flower. Oh well, live and learn. And two, the pink drop I put in the middle of that flourish mixed with the blue ink and is now purple. Not the end of the world but I’m not sure I love it. I’m going to let it dry completely and then see if I can fix it by adding more pink on top.
Other than that, I’m happy with both these cards. And my colouring jobs! LOL!
Okay, enjoy the rest of your weekend. I am still struggling to find a new work/life/crafting balance so I’m not sure when I’ll be back on the blog. But I’ve got 8 more cards to make before I put this kit to bed so that’s something to look forward to. I’ll be sure to share them here so check back.
