Two posts in one day? Must be NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY!! 🙂 Did you get any scrappy projects done? How about all the on line challenges, crops and giveaways? Did you participate in any of them? I had every intention but ended up working a longer shift at Pier1 than expected so just had time to get today’s LOAD layout done.
Today we were given a motive to scrap. Say what?! Yep, you heard me right, a motive. Greed to be precise.
I really had to think about this one for a while and finally, it came to me. I’d scrap my youngest and her ability to fill her mouth beyond capacity with Easter goodies. I kept it simple today. After choosing the back ground paper I decided to use up some of the 12″ strips I’ve got stashed (remnants from other projects) as well as some pre-made borders. In my drawer with all the strips and borders was an ancient packet of Easter dimensional border stickers. They weren’t getting any younger so I figured it was time to get them on a layout!!
I made some alterations to the stickers to make them fit my layout better, wrote my journaling along the bottom, added some gems to one of the pre-made borders and called it done.
Here’s my journaling. To mix it up I didn’t use a journaling block or card and instead chose to write it all across the bottom of the layout. It’s good to mix up your style a bit every now and then. Keeps things fresh and helps you remember how you love to scrap in the first place!
In case you think that I all created today was this one layout, have no fear. I actually did another layout that will go live on Monday and a card for Scrapbook News and Review. Not a total loss then! Hope you got to be creative today. I look forward to seeing your projects. Please leave me a link in the comments. Thanks!
