Happy Monday everyone! Hope you took advantage of all the National Scrapbooking Day fun over the weekend. I had to work so while I did a bit of scrapping I wasn’t able to participate in any challenges … yet. Shimelle has a few that I want to get in on and Two Peas in a Bucket too …
But today it is all about a new sketch reveal over at Let’s Get Sketchy. Here’s the sketch – gorgeous, no?
And here’s what I did with it.
I moved some things around from the sketch to make things fit but I loved the sunburst design so didn’t want to mess it too much.
Here are some detail shots for you.
I liked the layering of the banner over the journaling tag and added another tag to complement. The title was made from leftover stickers that I’d played a little Alphabet Sticker Scrabble with to create words with the remaining letters of 3 different sets of this particular font. It’s a fun and useful way to make the most out of those picked over sets. Just pull out all your letters – use some wax paper to keep them for sticking to things you don’t want them to stick to – and then just start making words. Don’t forget to get creative. Flip over those “u’s” to make “n’s”, “0’s” (zeros) can be “o’s” (as in my title above) and you can always get cutesy by using z’s in place of “s’s”. Use those words to create titles and jumpstart a few layouts!
To balance the journaling tags and other embellishments in the lower left, I added these tags and a chipboard button to the top right.
