Getting the Story Straight

Welcome back! Today I have another video for you and a surprise sale to tell you about at the end of the post.

On Monday I took you on a tour of my album from our trip to Disneyland in 2012. You saw the processes I’d put in place, and the products I’d set aside at the beginning to help in the creation of a cohesive album. A more complete story of our trip rather than an album full of photos and captions, if you will.

There were a LOT of missing stories! There were missing dates on many layouts. And then there was the Ultimate Scrapbooker Oops, two layouts about the same story. Same photos. Different colour schemes.

Ugh!

Today I show you how I fixed that. Take a look.

As you can see, now I have a more complete story about the whole event.

A layout depicting my daughters and how they whiled away the time in line waiting to see their dream Princesses.

And then a double page spread on actually meeting the Princesses.

No doubles. No overlap. Just a nice, whole, story!

Phew!

As I mention at the end of the video, there are still more pages to tweak and a LOT more stories to tell but now I feel a bit more in control of that story. Like I have a better handle on how I want them to flow.

Thanks for joining me for this stage of my Layout to Memory Books journey. I’ll be continuing to post about this process. It is definitely more involved than I anticipated and I think I will need to speed things along as we MAY want our dining room table back soon. 🙂

And now for the surprise I hinted at.

Today is my birthday (hence the lateness of this post – too much celebrating and well wishing to sit down and write!) I’d like to celebrate with you by having a sale so … use the coupon code HAPPY15 to save 15% on anything in my Etsy store! This coupon is good for the next 7 days. Feel free to spread the word too! I may just reward you for bringing customers my way … you never know!

Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday. See you soon!
