Foxy Fourty

My Brother-in-law turned 40 last weekend and I made him a card.

It’s kind of what I do! 🙂

But masculine cards are … well, challenging for me.

To say the least!

This month though over at Scrappypedia and the Scrap Stash Kit club group on Facebook, we are working with a kit that was a big help. Check out the Pinterest Inspiration Board for September’s Mr Fox kit. The orange and grey scheme seemed pretty masculine to me so I got out the paper scraps I’d pulled earlier in the month and got busy.

40th Birthday card

What do you think?

Fun? Masculine? Appropriate for a 40 year old?

The jury’s still out I think but I do love the grey and orange!

Here’s a close up of the main details

I embossed the greeting to make it really stand out.

If nothing else, I have a few less papers in my stash which always makes me super happy!

That’s all for tonight. Just a quick post to get me back in the groove of posting again.

The kids FINALLY go back to school tomorrow so things will start to get back to normal. At last!!

I love it! The color combo is awesome – especially for a guy – and I love your overall design with everything clustered together and the strip on the bottom with that awesome line of candles (perfect for a 40th birthday – gotta show them how many candles old they are, right?)
    Thanks so much for sharing!

Thanks Ruth! I was kind of wanting to insinuate that 40 was a lot of candles to blow out so I’m glad you got that!! LOL!
