Cards for Days!

Wondering what I’ve been up to this month? The blog has been quiet, I know, but I promise I have been creating.

LOAD518 was going on and while I did not achieve a layout every single day, I did do quite a few. And filmed them too. You can take a look at all my layouts in my Flickr gallery here and my YouTube videos on my channel in this playlist.

And then there’s been all the card making …

Do you follow me on Instagram? If so, you’ve no doubt noticed a lot of cards lately. That’s because I took up The 100 Day Project and decided to make a card a day for 100 days. I’ve missed a couple of days here and there but I’ve got 55 days of cards so far and I’m not stopping. Technically, with the 6 cards I made for this post, I’m all caught up and even ahead of the game a bit but … that’s not really the point of the exercise, is it?

Which brings me to the point of this post … finishing my May 2018 card kit from Simon Says Stamp.

This is what I started with.

And from that I made these 11 cards (as seen on Instagram so go there for commentary on what the individual inspiration was for each card.)

Still with me? Great! Because I’m not done. You may think that 11 cards is really good considering I make it my personal goal to make at least 10 per kit. And it is, but I still had several pieces of the 6×6 papers left so I knew there were more cards in me. I turned the camera on and got busy.

Warning: this is a long video! It’s over an hour but in my defense, I make 6 cards so … skip the most boring bits if you must or just make yourself a nice cup of tea and consider this your daily inspiration break! LOL!

I’m not going to make this post any longer by adding more photos. I included good close up shots of each card in the video as I made them so you’d get a chance to see them properly. I posted one on my Instagram yesterday and the rest are going up today so if you want to scroll through them easily, you can find them all here.

It is ever so satisfying to kill a kit! Now I can put the larger scraps away into my stash with a clear conscience and move on to my June kit. Curious to see what’s in that kit? Head over to my YouTube channel to see the reveal I posted a few days ago.

Cheers! Have a great weekend everyone!
