Card Kits, Canada Post and Why They Don’t Mix!

Hi guys. Quick post today to share two card process videos with you.

The first one shows you the contents of my February card kit from Simon Says Stamp. Yes, you read that correctly, I said February. It took over a month to reach me thanks to Canada Post and/or Canada Customs. (insert mad emoji here!)

But it finally did show up in my mailbox and I was so excited to see it that I set out to make a couple quick cards. In this first video I share the content of the kit – it’s JAM PACKED with goodies – and then make a card using one of the embossing folders from the kit. There are two !

Here’s the finished card.

Despite issues with the glue, I think the little jewels look great on this card. And the embossing folder is gorgeous!

Speaking of, since I had embossed two pieces of card stock but only used one, I made another quick card the next day. Here’s the video for that.

And the finished card.

I felt the jewels in the kit would have been lost on this card so I added drops of turquoise Nuvo Drops instead.

Okay, that’s it for today. I’ve still got my kit all over my desk so I need to tackle more cards from it before I can get back to making layouts. I am determined to make at least 8 more cards from this kit … more if I can! Stay tuned!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Cheers!
