This morning in my Facebook feed was the Free Miss Kate Cuttables Freebie of the Day and I had to snap it up! Check it out HERE. If you’re reading this on Monday then sorry, I was just too slow creating my layout. 🙁 It should be in the 50 cent store though and well worth it too!
Using my Gossamer Blue kit and one of the spider web overlays (that I’d resized to fit my 12×12″ paper), I created this.
Not a Halloween themed item in the whole entire kit but I think this turned out great! What do you think? Sometimes you just need to approach your supplies with a different eye and see what comes out. And the spider web … pretty cool right? LOVE my Cameo!! 🙂
Ignoring for a moment the ink that smudged (darn slow drying markers!!) here is a close up of the sub title + additional journaling embellishment cluster.
I used more of the Pink Paislee glittered letter stickers for my title. I don’t normally adhere letter stickers (or many other stickers for that matter) to my photos but this time something just made me do it. Kind of love it too!
The first half of the quote was added to the top of the title cluster along with a sprinkling of buttons, enamel dots and a little puffy sticker.
The orange paper in the background was one of those “you scare me a tiny bit, I think I’ll put you aside until I think of a way to deal with you” type papers. Covering it with the spider web overlay really helps its pattern (which is what I wasn’t too keen on) recede into the back ground and its colour stand out.
Well, there you have it. Two layouts from my kit so far. Two more and I’ll have answered the monthly challenge. Woot! Woot!
Have a fantastic Sunday evening. I’m off to put kids to bed and then snuggle up to catch up on some PVR’d TV. Boardwalk Empire, anyone?
Oh, don’t forget about my giveaway today and also the Grand Prize Giveaway is still open. Can’t wait to send happy mail to you guys on the 30th!! 🙂 But you’ve got to get your entries in by midnight on the 29th.
Super cool cut! I love it. Your layout turned out amazing.
Thanks Lisa!
