I am trying something a wee bit different this week. A Video! I’ve been wanting to make a Start to Finish video for awhile and decided to just bite the bullet and go for it. The sketch over at Let’s Get Sketchy was ideal as it was fairly straight forward and right up my alley with all the paper pieces and layering. Here’s the sketch and my take on it.
And here is the video of my creative process. Please be kind! This was my first attempt at this sort of a thing! (Blushing)
First off, sorry about the camera angle, the horrible editing and the terrible sound. I am doing the best with what I have and will upgrade my equipment as my budget allows. Future videos may just have a musical sound track though! I don’t like to use this particular text speak, but OMG that was a process and a half getting this thing filmed, edited and then voice over to half way audible!!
Here are a few close up shots of the details that were hard to see in the video.
As I said in the video, the white mist just wasn’t working as I wanted it to so after I’d stopped filming, I added some white acrylic paint to the mist, shook it and then added more splatters. These larger drops are more in line with what I wanted to begin with!
The layered flower with all those pop dots!
Thank you for tuning in today and making it through the video! I promise there will more videos and as I create more I will work out the kinks until they are as good as I envision them to be.
