Or at least that’s the plan!
Welcome to another edition of Words on Wednesday – a series designed to be more about me and my thoughts, opinions, and words, and less about my craft life. It’s been quite a while since I did one of these posts. Almost 5 months!! I miss them but to be honest, the thoughts and feelings I’ve been having lately are not ones I’m comfortable sharing publicly. Maybe one day but not yet.
But today I wanted to share a small victory with you. Continue reading
Wondering what I’ve been up to this month? The blog has been quiet, I know, but I promise I have been creating.
LOAD518 was going on and while I did not achieve a layout every single day, I did do quite a few. And filmed them too. You can take a look at all my layouts in my Flickr gallery here and my YouTube videos on my channel in this playlist.
And then there’s been all the card making …
Do you follow me on Instagram? If so, you’ve no doubt noticed a lot of cards lately. That’s because I took up The 100 Day Project and decided to make a card a day for 100 days. I’ve missed a couple of days here and there but I’ve got 55 days of cards so far and I’m not stopping. Technically, with the 6 cards I made for this post, I’m all caught up and even ahead of the game a bit but … that’s not really the point of the exercise, is it?

This is what I started with. Continue reading
What do Llamas, Citrus Fruit, Flamingos, Tacos, and Hot Air Balloons have in common?
They were all on Shimelle’s list for her 30 Days of Random Motifs challenge for April. Read all about it on her Instagram post by clicking the photo below.
I took on the challenge and rolled it into my 100 Day Challenge of creating a card every day. Since today is the last day of April I thought I’d pick my 5 favourite cards that I made through this challenge. Continue reading
If not, you can read more about it here.
I got wind of it through the creative grapevine and thought … why not? My daily creative project is to make a card. I’ve got a really big craft market in November this year so I am feeling the pressure to bulk up my inventory!
Want to follow along with my progress? I am posting daily on Instagram with the hashtag #100handmadecardsbyalison. Here is today’s card.
You can also find them cross posted to Facebook if you’re not on Instagram. I’d love for you to follow me at either (or both!) places to see if I actually manage to do 100 cards! Help keep me on task!
Until next time, happy crafting!
