This morning in my Facebook feed was the Free Miss Kate Cuttables Freebie of the Day and I had to snap it up! Check it out HERE. If you’re reading this on Monday then sorry, I was just too slow creating my layout. ๐Ÿ™ It should be in the 50 cent store though and well worth it too!

Using my Gossamer Blue kit and one of the spider web overlays (that I’d resized to fit my 12×12″ paper), I created this.

Not entirely sure where September went. Yes, I’ve beenย unbelievably busy with back to school, after school activities, this blog party and working twice as many hours as I’m used to. But this is my last month to call myself “in my 30’s”. I should be making each day count, right? Now suddenly I look at the calendar and realize I’ve only got 7 more days left “in my 30’s”!! Yikes!

So … what does this mean for you?

Jumping on the Kit Club Bandwagon

My spending freeze is officially over!

I’ve got a bit of extra cash these days so I have decided to spend some of it on a monthly kit subscription from Gossamer Blue. Why Gossamer Blue? They put together just exactly the type of products I use, they have a gallery where you can share your layouts made using their kits and if you upload 4 layouts a month on your 6 month they send you a free album. Kind of awesome, right?

Anyway, I’ve filmed a video of me unpacking my first kit (when I signed up I took advantage of a special offer of a free add-on kit so you’ll see me unpack that too). Coming up tomorrow is another video of me using my kit to create a layout for the new challenge up at SWAT.

Enjoy! If you want to sign up after seeing the goodies inside my kit, just go here. No affiliate links, just my personal endorsement for an awesome kit club!

So far … ๐Ÿ™‚

Exciting New Class and COUPON Code for You

728 x 90

I have taken many classes through Big Picture Classes and loved every single one. When I started it was called Big Picture Scrapbooking but they have expanded their offerings so much since then that the name needed to change to reflect it. You can learn anything from how to start, how to organize, multi media techniques, how to take better photographs, how to create embellishment clusters …. you name it, they got it!! Want to know how many classes I’ve taken since 2009? Here’s a screen shot of my classes list.

Day 17 – Scrapbook Throwdown!!

Posted on

Who doesn’t love a good throwdown? Well, two of my ScrapHappy and Crafting Your Biz buddies are hosting one tomorrow.

Kelli from Use It Scrapbooking and Gina from Messtaken Identity have set out a challenge to try doing things differently from how they normally create. Kelli is more like me with more stash than time or stories to tell, and Gina loves to upcycle things we would normally think of as trash into wondering, useful pieces of art.

Check out this video and meet the contestants.

So, who wants to join in on the fun? Just click HERE!

It all starts tomorrow – Tuesday September 17th at 1PM CDT (that’s 11AM Pacific!). See you there!

Oh, and which team are you one? Use it with Kelli (and me)? Or Upcycle it with Gina?
