Welcome to a new week here on my blog. This is the last week of school for my younger two children (my eldest finished last Thursday) so I am sure it will be busy with end of year assemblies, field trips and other fun activities at the school. I’ve been working on my thank you cards for the teachers – be sure to come back on Wednesday to see those.
Today though I am sharing another layout for my Harry Potter album. This one follows on the heels of Saturday’s layout and completes the story of the Platform 9 3/4 and Hogwarts Express section of the tour. Here’s the process video.
Seriously, we have nothing on the books for today. Say what?! What is this weirdness? LOL!
I guess I have permission to hide all day in my Scrap Cave, right?
No matter what happens, I hope to carve some time to continue with my Harry Potter Studio Tour upgrade albums. I was inspired by my recent layout reorganization and album revisiting to return to these books. I had so much fun in February creating layout after layout documenting our wonderful day at the Warner Bros Studios outside London last summer (see all my February LOAD videos here and layout photos here) but the albums have languished since then as I moved onto other projects. It felt good to dust off the supplies and photos and scrapbook a little magic!
Well folks, it’s February 28th. The last day of February and the last day of LOAD218.
What a blast!!
Whether you participated or not, did 28 layouts this month or 1, I hope you enjoyed the process. And I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my layouts come together.
I’ve been working on an album about our trip to the Warner Brothers studio lot outside London for their The Making of Harry Potter experience. It was a jam packed 4 hours on site with hundreds of photos taken, and so many more memories made. When I started the month I had made 4 layouts for album. Now I have two fairly full albums as I added 29 layouts because of LOAD.
As resident scrapbooker and memory keeper, this makes my heart so happy!
So let’s recap the last 6 days, shall we? Starting with …
How are you doing with LOAD218? Are you still managing to create a layout every day? With my daily videos I’ve been able to share little bits of what I love about the LOAD process, but you want to know my favourite thing about LOAD?
There are no rules!!
Well, I mean there are … but there aren’t. If you know what I mean.
If you want to create a layout every day and upload it to the Flickr gallery in the time allotted, then you are in for a finishers prize. BUT … and I can’t stress this enough … if you only do one layout in the month because that’s all you could fit in, then you’re also a winner. Because you got one more story told and in your albums than you would have if you hadn’t been doing LOAD.
Right?! Celebrate those small victories as hard as you celebrate the big ones!
That being said, I am celebrating the fact that we are at Day 22 and I have completed 22 layouts and 22 videos (actually 23 because I did two on Day 15)! Woot! Woot! Want to see my latest? As if you have a choice! Continue reading »
Now that February is more than half way finished it is becoming even more important to me to finish this month’s LOAD strong! I have a tendency to leave projects unfinished (gasp!) but I am determined not to let that happen.
So, without further ado, I give you Days 15 – 17 of LOAD218 and the next 4 layouts that are going into my Harry Potter Studio Tour album. Yes, I said 4 layouts not 3. You’ll see!
