Another Kit Bites the Dust

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I am sharing the last of my posts about the June 2018 card kit from Simon Says Stamp. I have not shared everything here on my blog so I thought I’d compile a round up for you.

New Kit, New Card Designs

Hey! Welcome to Monday! Thought it was time to revive my Make it Monday posts. Did you miss them? I did so … time to bring them back!

Today I am showing you how I am using my June 2018 card kit from Simon Says Stamp. It’s got loads of gorgeous papers in it! If you missed my reveal video it’s over on my YouTube channel here.

I’ve already made 3 cards with this kit – you can see them on my Instagram page and I do show you them briefly at the beginning of today’s video. Speaking of, I explain a lot in the intro so why don’t I just get to it?

Cards for Days!

Wondering what I’ve been up to this month? The blog has been quiet, I know, but I promise I have been creating.

LOAD518 was going on and while I did not achieve a layout every single day, I did do quite a few. And filmed them too. You can take a look at all my layouts in my Flickr gallery here and my YouTube videos on my channel in this playlist.

And then there’s been all the card making …

Do you follow me on Instagram? If so, you’ve no doubt noticed a lot of cards lately. That’s because I took up The 100 Day Project and decided to make a card a day for 100 days. I’ve missed a couple of days here and there but I’ve got 55 days of cards so far and I’m not stopping. Technically, with the 6 cards I made for this post, I’m all caught up and even ahead of the game a bit but … that’s not really the point of the exercise, is it?

Which brings me to the point of this post … finishing my May 2018 card kit from Simon Says Stamp.

10 Cards from 1 Kit – Part 2

Happy Saturday! How’s your weekend going so far? Any big plans?

Weekends around here are for field hockey games, spring league soccer games, and sometimes tournaments. You know, quiet, easy, lounge around in your pj’s til noon type days … wait …

We are definitely doing weekends all wrong!

There is a Spring Crop going on over on the Paper Issues Facebook group which I am hoping to take part in at some point. But we’ll just have to see if I’m “allowed” scrappy time! (Insert eye roll emoji here!)

Play Time

I took some time today to finally play with my April card kit from Simon Says Stamp. To see the reveal of the kit please see the video in this post.

It’s a gorgeous kit full of rainbows and butterflies and apart from one little strip of green paper, I’ve not touched it. Too busy with Clear the Desk layouts I think! But as I got notification today that my May kit is now ready for pick up, I figured I’d better get busy.

So here’s a look at how the first five cards came together.

I got wind of it through the creative grapevine and thought … why not? My daily creative project is to make a card. I’ve got a really big craft market in November this year so I am feeling the pressure to bulk up my inventory!
